If you have jumped down the rabbit hole of band weaving and start weaving the colourful creations, you may wish to learn more advanced techniques like pickup patterns. These patterns allow you to customise the bands with motifs and text so you can create OOAK projects.
In this 4-hour workshop, we will go over how to warp the looms for pickup pattern work as well as how to follow a chart to create pickup patterns.
You will need to bring along your own inkle loom or rigid heddle loom for this class. For inkle loom users, please ensure you have at least 13 string heddles and a belt shuttle. For rigid heddle loom users, please ensure that you have taken the class for band weaving on rigid heddle loom before signing up for this class. You will need to bring along the 12-dent reed as well as belt shuttle for the class.
